The Cervical Spine & Therapy
| Click image to enlarge | These illustrations shows the relationship between the head and the spine. The cervical (neck) spinal column is made up of 7 stacked vertebrae with 6 cartilage discs between them. Together they form a protective tube for the spinal cord and nerve roots. The spinal cord begins at the base of the brain and travels downwards through the cervical spine to the lumbar spine (low back) where it ends. There it splits into smaller nerves that travel into the lower extremities. | Click Image to enlarge |
| The doctor is pointing to a large herniated disc with 3 disc bulges below it. The herniation and bulges are pressing against the spinal nerves. These nerve pressures produce a variety of painful symptoms and movement problems. | Click on this image to enlarge |
| | This illustration shows how the vertebrae and cartilage discs are stacked with each other. Cartilage discs are sandwiched between vertebrae and act as shock absorbing spacers. The small foramina (opening) behind the disc are actually formed by three elements. These include the back wall the disc, plus the vertebra above it and below it. Nerves exit from these foramen. The irritated disc (seen in red) is bulged forward. When a disc bulges backwards (The majority bulge backwards) it encroaches into the foramen putting pressure against the nerve. This is how symptoms are created. |
| Cervical Neck Symptoms include: | - Vertigo
- Neck Pains
- Blurred Vision
- Muscle Spasms
- Movement Problems
- Cold Upper Extremities
- Numbness or Tingling
- Headaches / Migraines
- Weakness in the upper extremities

How Does AntalgiCare Therapy Treat These Conditions and Symptoms? AntalgiCare increases vertebral spacing using a gentle and soothing spinal elongation process. The goal of this process is to in aid in reducing bulging discs. AntalgiCare's gentle elongation creates a soothing inner disc vacuum. This vacuum draws nourishing fluids into and around the perimeter of the disc to hydrate the disc and improve healing of an injured disc. It is virtually impossible for a disc to properly heal while it is squeezed and under pressure. Irritating compression forces must first be removed. AntalgiCare helps by gently alleviating abnormal spinal pressures and enables the compressed disc and irritated nerve tissues to heal. |
