AntalgiCare Non-Surgical Spinal Rehabilitation

AntalgiCare™ Lumbar Therapy

The lower spine and pelvis consists of 5 lumbar vertebrae, 5 discs, 1 central sacrum and 2 pelvic bones.

The illustration to the left shows 5 lumbar vertebrae with 4 normal discs (blue) and one irritated disc (red).

Observe how the holes behind each disc are actually formed by one disc and two vertebrae. The opening (foreman) behind each disc is where the spinal nerve roots exit.

When an injured disc bulges or herniates, it typically expands backwards and into the nerve opening where it puts irritating pressure onto the soft spinal nerve root.

This is how most nerve pressure or irritation occurs. These pressures produce a variety of debilitating symptoms.

The above left image show 3 stages of progressive disc involvement. The disc protrusion and subsequent disc prolapse (herniation) creates nerve pressure which produces symptoms. The above right image shows a typical disc herniation.

This disc below is herniated onto the yellow nerve and pinching it.

Symptoms typically include:

♦ Sciatica
♦ Hot or Cold Sensations
♦ Painful Sitting
♦ Numbness
♦ Dull or Heavy Type Pain
♦ Pins and Needles
♦ Difficult Sleeping
♦ Muscle Spasm or Weakness
♦ Pain into the legs
♦ Hip Pain & Stiffness
♦ Difficulty Walking or Standing
♦ Intense Sharp Pain

Successful therapy begins by removing nerve root irritations or pressures caused by bulged or herniated discs as well as compressed spinal joints (The red arrow is pointing to a large disc bulge).

AntalgiCare™ creates a soothing vacuum pressure within the disc by gently stretching and improving the spacing between the spinal segments. The goal of treatment with the Antalgic-Trak™ is to retract and return the protruded disc materials back into their pre-pressured borders.

Disc healing can't begin until the abnormal pressures are removed from it. Alleviating excessive pressure on an injured disc will help in speeding recovery of what is oftentimes a painful debilitating condition.

AntalgiCare™ helps by gently alleviating abnormal spinal pressures and enables the compressed disc and irritated nerve tissues to heal.
