CULTURE
SITES OF INTEREST
The ruins of greater cultural importance are: Chichen-Itza, located to 3 hours of distance of the hotel, soon follows Coba, located in the middle of the jungle with one of highest pyramids of the zone. Finally they are the beautiful ruins of Tulum, located on the coasts of the Caribbean Sea, about 1 hour from the hotel. To visit native towns allows seeing as the Mayan culture persists in the present.
 
FESTIVALS AND EVENTS
During the month of February the carnival  is celebrated in Cancún, Cozumel and Playa de Carmen, with live performances and a fair of attractions and souvenirs.
The celebration of the day of deads in Mexico is very famous due to many old traditions.

BY FOOT
The extension of the hotel invites for long walks through the gardens and on the beach.

BY BIKE
The Star Friends offer a guided bicycle tour organized at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The tour begins at the Spa of the hotel, giving visits the entire resort property and tours also the neighborhood.

BY CAR
With a rented car  you can visit an infinity of places,
Chichen-Itza (3 hours) in the way are native towns and the colonial city of Valladolid.
Mérida, 1 hour of the pyramid of Chichen Itza.
Tulum, (1 hour from the hotel)
Playa del Carmen (20 minutes from the hotel), famous for its '5th Avenue', a pedestrian stroll surrounded by stores, bars and restaurants on the seashore.
Cancún, famous for the hotel zone and shopping facilities.
The most important eco parks in the area are Xcaret, (located 40 minutes from the hotel), and Xel-Ha, both theme parks with natural swimming pools, underground rivers, coral reefs, aquariums and different animals and birds. Xcaret offers at night a beautiful musical show on the Mayan culture and of nocturnal Mexico.

BY BOAT
You can book different excursions by boat or catamaran with the Dive Center of the hotel. Some of them take you to fish in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean, others to snorkel in the reefs located near the islands of Cozumel and Isla Mujeres.
